Klusko vs ClickUp: a simpler ClickUp alternative for small teams
ClickUp tries to do everything. Klusko does tasks and team chat for small businesses, and not much else. Here’s how they compare, with ClickUp prices as of September 2026.
Klusko vs ClickUp is a question of how much tool you want. ClickUp has more features than we’ll ever build: Gantt charts, time tracking, docs, automations, integrations, apps on every phone. If your team uses a good share of those, stay with ClickUp. If you opened it, spent a week on settings and still ended up in WhatsApp to ask who’s doing the Thursday delivery, Klusko is probably the simpler ClickUp alternative you were after. It’s tasks and team chat in one place, and that’s roughly it. ClickUp prices below are as of September 2026.

Where ClickUp is better
On features it isn’t close, and we have none of the ones listed above. If you run a small agency that bills by the hour and you’d otherwise pay for a separate timer app, ClickUp’s built-in time tracking alone might decide this for you before you get to anything else on the page.
Storage too. ClickUp Unlimited has unlimited storage; Klusko Team gives you 10 GB per person, which is plenty for documents and photos but not for a team passing video files around all day.
ClickUp’s phone apps are on both stores. Ours is an iPhone app in testing, and there’s no Android app yet. We’d rather say that here than have you find out after inviting the team.
Where Klusko is better
Less of it. We do have an opinion here: “all-in-one” tools that do forty things get tiring, because every one of those forty things has settings, and somebody on your team has to understand them. Klusko has five views, one assignee per task, four priority levels and chat. A new starter can find their way around by lunchtime.
The free plan is also more usable. ClickUp Free has unlimited users but 60 MB of storage in total, and chat is a trial. Klusko Free covers up to ten people and five projects, with 2 GB of storage and every chat message kept. We never hide old messages to push you onto a paid plan.
Chat and tasks are one thing here, not two products sharing a login. Mention a task in a message and it becomes a live link; open the task and its comments are right there. The Inbox gathers your mentions and assignments in one list, so the Monday morning catch-up is one screen.
On price, be honest with yourself: for ten people billed yearly, the two are about the same. Our pricing page has pounds, euros and dollars side by side. Pick on fit, not on a few pounds a month.
Klusko vs ClickUp: who should pick which
Pick ClickUp if you’d use even two of the things we left out, or if your tools need to talk to each other. Pick it too if your team is mostly on Android.
Pick Klusko if you want your team to actually use the thing. Say you run a twelve-person property maintenance firm with an office manager, two surveyors and a pool of trades. You need a board of jobs, a channel for each building and the monthly checks on repeat. You don’t need a whiteboard or a goals module.

Is Klusko cheaper than ClickUp?
Not by much, if at all. As of September 2026, ClickUp Unlimited for ten people is $70 a month billed yearly or $100 monthly. Klusko Team for ten is £50 or £60, which is about $70 or $80. Billed yearly, it’s roughly a draw. Right now Klusko is free during early access, with 30 days’ notice before any charge.
Does Klusko have Gantt charts or time tracking like ClickUp?
No, neither. Klusko has no Gantt charts, timelines or time tracking. For planning we have a Calendar view and a Workload view that shows each person’s load against the team average. If your team bills by the hour or plans against dependencies, ClickUp does both and we don’t.
Can I import my ClickUp workspace into Klusko?
No, there’s no importer yet. The quickest way over is by hand: create one project per live piece of work, copy across the open tasks, and leave closed ones in ClickUp for reference. Start with whatever is due this month. Old tasks tend to matter less once they’re out of sight.
