Cookie policy
The short version of our cookie policy: klusko.com sets no cookies at all, and the web app stores two things in your browser, both needed to make it work the way you set it.
This policy covers the Klusko website at klusko.com and the web app at app.klusko.com. It’s run by [Company name] Ltd, registered in England and Wales, company number [number].
The rules on cookies are in the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations 2003 (PECR), as amended by the Data (Use and Access) Act 2025. They apply to cookies and to anything similar that stores information on your device, including the browser’s local storage, which is what our app uses.
The website sets no cookies
When you browse klusko.com, we don’t set cookies, run analytics or load advertising pixels. Our fonts are hosted on our own server, so your browser doesn’t contact Google Fonts either. That’s why there’s no cookie banner.
What the web app stores
Once you sign in at app.klusko.com, the app keeps two items in your browser’s local storage:

Neither item is used to track you across other websites, and neither is shared with advertisers.
Why we don’t ask for consent
PECR lets a service store information without consent when it’s strictly necessary to provide a service you’ve asked for. Staying signed in is exactly that: without the session, the app can’t tell who you are.
Since the Data (Use and Access) Act 2025, PECR also allows a website to store information that remembers how you want it to look, such as your chosen theme, without consent. The conditions are that we tell you clearly what we store and why (this page), and give you a simple, free way to object.
How to object or clear it
To stop the app remembering your theme, clear the site data for app.klusko.com in your browser settings. The app then goes back to the default theme until you pick one again.
Clearing site data also removes the sign-in session, so you’ll need to sign in again. You can also sign out at any time, which ends the session.
GIF search
If you open GIF search in chat, your browser fetches results and GIFs from GIPHY, which receives your search terms and IP address. Nothing is sent to GIPHY unless you open GIF search. GIPHY’s own privacy policy explains how it handles that data. It’s listed on our subprocessors page.
If this changes
