Team chat that sits next to the work

Make a public channel for each job, shop or team, and a private one for the conversations that shouldn’t be public (pay, pricing, the difficult client). Direct messages for one-to-one. Threads stop a side conversation from swallowing the channel, and the Threads view collects every thread you’re in.

The everyday bits are there too: @mentions, emoji reactions, GIFs if your team is that way inclined, files, an unread divider so you know where you left off, and green dots for who’s around.

Mention a task in a message and Klusko turns it into a live link. Click it and the task opens with its owner, date and comments. So “done, see Order the dental chairs” still means something a week later, when somebody’s trying to work out what happened.

Slack’s free plan hides messages older than 90 days, as of September 2026.
