Everything people ask us before they sign up, and a few things they ask after. Can’t find yours? Email hello@klusko.com.
What is Klusko?
Klusko is one app for your team’s tasks, projects and chat. You get boards, lists and calendars for the work, plus channels, direct messages and threads for talking about it, all under one login. Mention a task in a chat message and it becomes a live link, so the conversation and the job stay attached.
Who is Klusko for?
Klusko is for small and medium businesses, roughly 3 to 50 people, who are tired of paying for a chat app and a separate task app and still losing jobs in the gap. Think of an agency, a building firm, a restaurant group or an accountancy practice. If you need Gantt charts or heavy automation, it probably isn’t for you yet.
How do I sign up?
Go to app.klusko.com and create a company account. Whoever signs up first becomes the Admin, and can then set up workspaces such as Operations or Clients and create projects inside them. It takes a few minutes. There’s no card to enter, since nothing is charged during early access.
How do I invite my team?
The Admin invites teammates by email from inside the app, and each person follows the link in their email to set up a login and join the company account. You can invite the whole team on day one, but we’d start with two or three people and one real project, then bring the rest in once it has something in it.
How do guests work?
A guest is someone you add to a project without adding them to that project’s workspace, usually a client or a freelancer. In the app they see the projects you’ve added them to, and your other projects and workspaces stay out of view. They can read your public channels, though, so keep internal talk in private ones. Guests are part of the Team and Business plans.
What does “klusko” mean?
The name comes from the Dutch word “klus”, which means a job, a chore or a thing that needs doing. “Ik heb nog een klus” is roughly “I’ve still got a job on.” It seemed right for an app that’s mostly about getting jobs out of chat threads and onto someone’s list with a date next to them.
How do I contact support?
Email hello@klusko.com and one of us will reply. We’re a small team, so you’ll be talking to people who work on the product. Business plan customers get priority support, with a reply within four working hours, and a setup call with us to get their projects and channels organised at the start.
Is there a free plan?
Yes. The Free plan covers up to 10 people and 5 projects, with 2 GB of storage in total, and the Board, List and Calendar views. Chat is included, and we keep the full history: we never hide old messages to push you onto a paid plan. Guests, Table and Workload views, custom fields and recurring tasks come with Team.
How much does Klusko cost?
Team is £5 per person per month billed yearly, or £6 billed monthly. Business is £9 billed yearly, or £11 monthly. You pay for the people you actually have, with no seat buckets, so an 11-person team pays for 11. For now none of this is charged: we’re in early access and billing hasn’t started.
Will I be charged during early access?
No. Every plan is free right now because billing hasn’t launched. Before anything is charged we’ll give you at least 30 days’ notice, and nobody gets moved onto a paid plan without choosing it. If you set your team up on Team features today and decide not to pay later, you won’t wake up to an invoice.
Do your prices include VAT?
No, our prices are shown excluding VAT. So Team at £5 per person per month billed yearly is £5 before VAT. When billing launches, VAT will be added where it applies. The Business plan also offers invoice billing, which tends to suit companies whose accounts team wants a proper invoice each period rather than a card payment.
Can I pay in euros or dollars?
Yes, prices are set in pounds, euros and dollars. Team is €6 per person per month billed yearly or €7 monthly, and $7 or $8. Business is €10 or €13, and $12 or $14. The pound prices are £5 and £6 for Team, £9 and £11 for Business. All are per person, excluding VAT.
What’s the difference between Team and Business?
Business has everything in Team plus priority support, with a reply within four working hours, a setup call with us, 50 GB of storage per person instead of 10 GB, and invoice billing. The features inside the app are the same. We think most small teams will be fine on Team; Business is for when you want a person to call.
How do I cancel?
During early access there’s nothing to cancel, because nothing is charged. Once billing launches, nobody is moved onto a paid plan without choosing it, so staying on Free or stopping altogether is always your call. Admins can also disable individual people at any time, for example on someone’s last day.
Can I export my data?
There’s no self-serve export button yet. If you need a copy of your company’s data, email hello@klusko.com and tell us what you’re after, and we’ll talk you through what we can provide. Your rights over personal data are set out in our privacy policy.
What views does Klusko have?
Klusko has five project views: Board, List, Table, Calendar and Workload. Board lets you drag cards between stages, List groups tasks by stage, Table is a spreadsheet-style grid, Calendar shows the month, and Workload shows each person’s load against the team average. Free includes Board, List and Calendar; Team adds Table and Workload.
What doesn’t Klusko do yet?
Quite a lot. There are no Gantt charts or timelines, no time tracking, no automations, and no integrations or API. There’s no Android app, no video or voice calls, no docs or wiki, no dependencies between tasks and only one assignee per task. We’d rather do tasks and chat properly than do forty things badly.
Is there an iPhone app?
Yes, but it’s still in testing and not on the App Store yet. It’s a native iPhone app that uses the same account and data as the web app, and changes sync live between the two, so a task ticked off on the phone disappears from the board on your laptop straight away. We’ll announce it when it’s out of testing.
Is there an Android app?
Not yet. There’s no Android app, and we’d rather tell you now than after you’ve invited a team of Android users. It’s on our list for after the iPhone app comes out of testing, but we’re not putting a date on it, because dates on a small team’s plans have a habit of moving.
Does Klusko integrate with other tools?
No. Klusko has no integrations and no API yet, so it won’t connect to your CRM, accounts package or calendar. It also has no automations or rules. We know that rules Klusko out for some teams. Recurring tasks and task templates cover some of the repeat work that people often use automations for.
How do recurring tasks work?
A recurring task repeats daily, weekly, every two weeks or monthly. When you tick one off, the next one appears with its new date, so a Friday stock check or a monthly payroll check never needs setting up again. Recurring tasks are part of the Team and Business plans, along with task templates and saved views.
Does Klusko have AI features?
No, Klusko has no AI features. There’s no assistant writing your task descriptions or summarising your channels, and nothing pops up offering to help. Separately from features, we don’t use your content to train AI models. If you were hoping for AI, this is one area where bigger tools have more to offer.
Where is my data stored?
Your data is stored in the EU, in Frankfurt. We use Supabase, which runs Postgres on AWS, and our database provider takes daily backups. Each company’s data is kept separate by row-level security in the database, and everything is encrypted in transit with TLS and encrypted at rest. The security page has the full details.
Who can see what in our account?
It depends on the role. Admins set up the company account, invite people and can disable them. Members work in the company’s workspaces, projects and channels, apart from private channels they haven’t been added to. Guests see only the projects they’ve been added to, along with the company’s public channels.
Is Klusko GDPR compliant?
Klusko is set up with GDPR in mind: your data is stored in the EU (Frankfurt), we offer a data processing agreement, and our subprocessors are listed on the legal pages of this site. We don’t have SOC 2 or ISO 27001 certification yet, and we’d rather say that than hide it in small print.
Is my data encrypted?
Yes. Everything travels between your browser and our servers over TLS, and the app is only served over HTTPS. Data is also encrypted at rest in the database. Passwords are handled by Supabase Auth, which stores them hashed, so nobody at Klusko can see your password or tell you what it is if you forget it.
Do you sell our data or use it to train AI?
No to both. We don’t sell customer data to anyone, and we don’t use your tasks, messages or files to train AI models. Your company’s content is there so your team can do its work. We make money, once billing starts, from the plans people choose to pay for, and that’s it.
How do I report a security problem?
Email security@klusko.com with what you found and how to reproduce it. We’d ask you to give us a reasonable chance to fix it before telling anyone else, and to avoid touching other companies’ data while you test. We’ll reply and keep you posted while we fix it. The security page explains how we protect your data in the meantime.
Can I import from Trello or Asana?
Not yet, because there’s no importer. Moving over is a manual job: create a project for each board or project that’s still active, set up your stages, and copy across the open tasks. Leave finished work where it is. Start with this month’s live jobs, and you’ll probably find the list is shorter than you feared.
Can I import our Slack history?
No, there’s no Slack importer. We’d suggest not bringing old messages over at all. Set up the channels you actually use, move the team across on a Monday, and leave Slack open for reference for a few weeks. If a job is buried in an old thread, make it a task in Klusko when it comes up.
What’s the best way to switch from another tool?
Start small and move active work only. Pick one project that’s running now, set it up in Klusko with its open tasks and a matching chat channel, and use it for a week. Then move the rest of your live projects. Old and finished work can stay in the previous tool until you’re sure nobody needs it.
Can we run Klusko alongside Slack for a while?
Yes, nothing stops you, and during early access it costs nothing to try. We’d set a date to stop, though. If both stay open forever, people end up asking the same question in two places, which is the problem Klusko is meant to fix. We’d give it two weeks and then decide.
Get the klus done.
Klus is Dutch for a job that needs doing. Klusko is free for up to 10 people, and every plan is free while we're in early access.
